Ramia’s Story – A Heritage Passed From Generations
Ramia grew up in a Damascus home where every smell had meaning: roasted sesame for tahini, thyme drying in the sun for the family za’atar blend, herbs hung from the ceiling to make tea for guests.
For her grandmother, food was identity — a way to pass love and memory through generations.
When Ramia moved to Portugal, she carried that inheritance with her. Together with Alan, she built Tayybeh, a place where Syrian flavors could live proudly in Lisbon. But she dreamed of something deeper: producing her own ingredients in Portugal, with the same honesty and purity she knew growing up.
That dream became Quinta do Damasco.
Tayybeh × Quinta do Damasco – Two Worlds, One Purpose
Today, Tayybeh and Quinta do Damasco are one mission:
Create authentic Syrian and Levantine products using Portuguese soil, sunlight, and care.
Everything we sell — from tea to tahini to za’atar — begins in our hands and often begins on our land.
